Labelling Notice and Hazardous Property Controls Notice now published

Following is the latest notice from the EPA
Our final two EPA Notices have been issued by the EPA Board. The Labelling Notice and the Hazardous Property Controls Notices are now published on the HSNO Reform part of our website under the New Notices heading.
Group standards are getting a facelift
We’re updating the group standards so that they refer to the EPA Notices and no longer refer to the workplace hazardous substance rules that are moving to the Health and Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 2017. We’ve now published 29 draft group standards representing the different groups to show you how the changes are reflected. By 1 December we plan to have all of the group standards updated and published.
The updated group standards will have the same:
• name (with one exception), but updated year
• approval number
• classifications currently covered by the group standard.
Hazardous substances covered under reissued group standards will have four years to comply with the Labelling, Safety Data Sheet and Packaging Notices.
What we’re asking for from you
Any changes to the conditions set in group standards are due to the development of the EPA Notices, which have already undergone extensive consultation. Therefore, this advisory is to provide you with an opportunity to see what the reissued group standards will look like.
While this is not a consultation, we’re asking you to let us know if you find any errors or omissions in the draft group standards by 5.00 pm 29 September 2017.
To find out more, see our website.
Kind regards
The HS Reform Team
